Rocklegenderna The Darkness har stormat den brittiska albumlistan med sitt åttonde studioalbum Dreams On Toast out via Cooking Vinyl. Albumet har gått in som nummer 2 på UK Official Albums Chart och har nått nummer 1 på flera listor, inklusive Independent Albums, Rock & Metal Albums, Vinyl Albums och Album Downloads.
Det är deras högst placerade album sedan deras dundersuccédebut Permission To Land, och Dreams On Toast har blivit allmänt erkänt som deras bästa album på över 20 år.
För att fira framgången har The Darkness släppt videon till den nya brännande hårdrockslåten ”Rock And Roll Party Cowboy”. Den härligt skandalösa animerade videon är regisserad av trummisen Rufus ”Tiger” Taylor och Darri3D och lyser med lysrörsljuset från Sunset Strip när The Darkness uppträder för rabiata fans. De kanaliserar ljudet av hårdrockslegender som ZZ Top, Motörhead och Judas Priest med brännande solon, helveteshöjande sång och en knytnävspumpande rytmsektion för att skapa en glimt i ögat reflektion över 70- och 80-talets hedonistiska machomusikscen.
Den explosiva videon är full av pyro och även fylld med Darkness-påskägg, från rymdskeppet som är synonymt med Permission To Land till Justin Hawkins ädla flygande vita tigerhäst som svävade över fansen på Wembley Arena 2004. The Darkness återvände till den ikoniska arenan för ett triumferande framträdande i slutet av mars för att markera släppet av Dreams On Toast som en del av deras senaste utsålda turné i Storbritannien.
